"A bill can be bipartisan without bipartisan votes." - Nancy Pelosi

Nancy, just because the President allowed the Republicans to speak at a health care summit does not make this bill somehow magically bipartisan. Even the moderate Democrats know that this is a bad bill that could only pass on Christmas Eve. with bribes thrown in. The only mark that the Republicans are making on this failure of a bill is a big fat red check mark; and the American people are glad that they are "the party of no" because the overwhelming majority are against it. If you twist enough arms to get moderate Democrats in the House to pass this, it will not be bipartisan - it will be totalitarian.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Sunday that Republicans have left their mark on the healthcare bill and should accept that the bill will go forward.

"They've had plenty of opportunity to make their voices heard," she said on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday morning. "Bipartisanship is a two-way street. A bill can be bipartisan without bipartisan votes. Republicans have left their imprint."... http://thehill.com/homenews/house/84089-pelosi-gop-has-had-its-day-217-healthcare-votes-in-sight
