TEA Party July 4 Float Construction is set!

A TEA Party 4th of July Float building party will be at Schmolck Mechanical in the back of the main store on Stedman Street, at 5:00 p.m. on FRIDAY, July 3rd.

Bring along staple guns, hammers, utility knives, duct tape, tin snips, and a folding chair to sit on in comfort to put the float together. Connie is really concerned about your knees and kneeling on the hard cement floor.

Alan had ordered candy, but it didn't arrive in time. Please consider buying candy if we wish to throw candy. Sorry.

Stu is making panels covered with chicken wire so that we can work on the pomps this week in our own garages.

If anyone can help between now and Friday, let us know. Call Connie Emmert at 225-8811.

If you are going to be traveling with the float, let Connie know, too.!

Join us for a special tele-townhall meeting
Congress, with the passing of “Cap & Trade”, has openly declared war against the will and needs of the American people. I mean, who in their right mind believes we should be DOUBLING our electricity and gas bills in this economy?
Apparently our “representatives” do.
It’s as if our “representatives” are actually being malicious towards our country. Why else would they vote and pass legislation that can and will directly cast significant long term damage on our economy?
We at the American Liberty Alliance are ready, willing and able to confront this beast. But we understand it’s going to require a strong, unified effort that reaches across a diverse range of free-market American activists.
We want to invite you to a special hour long tele-townhall scheduled for Wednesday, July 1st, at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. To receive the credentials for the special call, you’ll need to register as a member of the American Liberty Alliance.
You can register here.http://americanlibertyalliance.com/special.html
The liberty movement is under attack from all directions. We do not need to be scattered. We do not need to be working against each other. Instead, we need to collaborate on a scale never before seen.
The time is now. Join us and let’s get to work.http://americanlibertyalliance.com/special.html

TEA partiers, get ready!

Ketchikan TEA Party Patriots are planning to have a float in the 4th of July Parade and you are invited to participate! Our float will have the theme of Liberty, States Rights, Alaska's 50th Anniversary, and upholding the Constitution of the United States of America.

TEA Party Patriots will follow the float on foot carrying their own, homemade, signs.

Line up will be in front of Madison Lumber. If you want to be with our float, be there no later than 10:45 am. CHILDREN UNDER 19 ARE WELCOME AND MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. They are welcome to dress up as patriotic folks and walk or ride bikes.

We are planning on handing out US Constitutions and candy.

The parade will begin at NOON and ends when we reach Tatsuda's. There is some limited seating available on the float.

If you are unable to walk the route we encourage you to wave your sign from the sidelines in solidarity as we pass on the parade route.
